Vape Device Information

My device is leaking.

A few drops of e-liquids is generally normal in most situations - as this is likely caused by leftover vapours condensing back to liquid. However, excessive leaking should be addressed as soon as possible to prevent potential damage to your device. Here are a few things you can try:

  • Change your coil/pod (if it is old)
  • Adjust the wattage setting on your device (if applicable)
  • Ensure that the coil is installed correctly into your device
  • Try using liquids that has a higher VG ratio
  • Avoid leaving your device in places such as cars or in direct sunlight

If the issue persist, visit your local Shosha stores so one of our team can inspect the device.

I'm getting a "Low atomiser", Ohm too low" message or something similar on my device.

This message would mean that the device is detecting the coil, but it is out of the safe operating range for the device. Try the following:

  • Re-install the coil
  • Ensure that the contacts are clean
  • Change the coil
  • Check the connections and the coil to make sure there is no uneven surfaces (e.g. the connection pin is aligned)

My device is Auto-firing.

Should this happen, immediately remove the tank/pod from your device and power your device off. Then inspect the connections, and power button (if applicable) to ensure that liquids have not gone into the device. Clean it off and try again - if it continues to auto-fire, check your receipt to see if it is still under warranty.

My device is not charging.

If your device is not charging, please check the following:

  • The power adapter (try changing the adapter, as some may not work)
  • The charging cable (use only cables that have the same power rating to prevent damage)
  • Check the charging port (dirt and dust may prevent the cable from making connection)

I get a burning taste from my new coil.

If this happens, it would mean that either:

  1. The coil has not fully saturated (even after 10 minutes of waiting) before use
  2. The wattage was set too high/too low**
  3. If the device was accidentally fired

The best way to ensure that your coil is fully saturated is to put a few drops into the center of the coil (preferably with a needle-tip nozzle) to allow the inside of the cotton to start saturating. Or, just fill it up and wait at least 15 minutes, then only taking the tank or pod, take a few draws - if you could slightly taste the liquid, then generally this will indicate that the coil has been saturated.

A 100% way would be to shine a light directly into the middle of the coil to see if the cotton is soaked (but very difficult to do).

**In some cases when setting the wattage too low, while it may be working and you can vape. The coil isn't being heated even therefore causing one part of the cotton to burn faster than the rest giving you a burnt taste.

When should I replace my coil?

A good indication would be when you start noticing the following:

  • Leaking
  • Burnt taste
  • Flavour being muted
  • Less vapour production
  • Spit back (liquid coming from the mouth tip)

Is any wall charger suitable for a vaping device?

No. Not all chargers are made to be used to charge your vaping device. It is recommended to check the specifications of your device (either via the official website or the user manual) and the wall charger used to ensure they meet the requirement of the vape. Failure to use a proper wall charger may result in your device being damaged or injury.

How long should I charge my device for?

This will greatly depend on the device and the battery as well. However, a general rule of thumb would be anywhere between 1hr - 2hr would be sufficient. It is not recommended to leave your device charging overnight as it may cause the battery to wear out quickly or damage the vape entirely.
